This portfolio submission is a demonstration of work accomplished in creating a web presence for my hypothetical client “No’owie Bandage Removal”. I was presented with the client vision and interests, media assets, desired color palette, and basic requirements for the site – including a site that is mobile friendly, and availability of a transportation liability waiver.
Star Rating Sought:
For this project, I acted as the web developer for a fictitious company “No’Owie” to create a web presence for my client. In creating this site, the goal was to have a clean and minimal site, utilize the color palette provided by the client, make use of black and white photography, include a clear and easy way for potential clients to connect (mobile friendly), make use of logo assets provided by the client, include testimonial elements, and provide access to a liability waiver for transportation services.
In the end, I am quite proud of the site that was created, and able to meet the needs of my fictitious client. Working on this project gave me a lot of insight into the amount of work required to build a website for a client, the development process that is required to best serve my client – including taking inventory of the client’s needs and assets, building a wireframe, creating a skeleton, publishing a soft launch, and editing the site for the final “public facing” release of the site.

Some of the instructor feedback I received on this project was related to minor spacing issues on the services page, a need to reduce the text on my “About” page, maintaining consistency between the navigation text and the title text on the page (strategy), consideration of removing testimonial page and adding the quotes throughout the site, adding additional content on the blog page, and making the “inspiration” page more clear in terms of it’s purpose. Classmate feedback included questioning of my three rectangle links on the home page.
Primary adjustments made from feedback received: Home page buttons were changed to images that linked to pages, testimonial page removed and quotes scattered throughout the site, adjusted the size and spacing of text, minimized the use of “bolded text” and added targeted bold text within the biography (for those who scan a page), adjusted the formatting of the About page and Service page, updated the Contact page title to match with the navigation bar, added additional content to the blog page, and better defined the inspirations page to bring clarity and intent to that page.
